Testimonial-Doris LeightleySome history ... I met Cindy at a networking event early in 2007. I had already realized that, as a more mature woman, I needed to start being serious about weight training to help maintain and even build bone density. Having asthma also means making sure that you maintain a healthy lung function, so some cardio component would be helpful. I already walked a lot, so my lower body was reasonably strong; however my upper body strength was not good. As a photographer I need to be able to haul camera equipment about. At this point I had no idea how to use weights and did not want to try things without assistance from somebody competent. The problem was in finding both somebody that I could trust plus somewhere to learn that was not large and impersonal. I knew that I needed somebody who could inspire and motivate me. I had visited several large gyms and had not felt inspired to join somewhere that felt so impersonal. So why Cindy? When Cindy explained what she does and that she has experience (and training) in helping older people I was interested. Cindy inspires confidence that she knows what she is doing. I visited her gym and was happy to see that it was immaculate, well laid out, and not impersonal, and so I started training with Cindy on a regular basis. I have been delighted with my progress. Cindy is both encouraging and motivating! Because it is truly personal training, Cindy really keeps an eye on what I am doing and how it is being done. With the personal service there is no room to slack off. Training in a non-judgmental environment with somebody who is not under pressure to sell a membership and extras is a big bonus. Much to my initial surprise, I enjoy working out and leave a session feeling energized even if I have arrived feeling sluggish. Hitting the boxing bag is a wonderful way of relieving any stress and great fun! Cindy changes the routine regularly so there is no reason to start feeling bored. Summary: It is great to finally have well defined muscles and be strong and fit at an age when many people are slowing down. I can carry heavy camera equipment about for several hours without feeling that my arms are dropping off. It is never too late to start fitness training and important to continue. I am glad that I found Cindy! Doris Leightley ... I capture that special moment between you and your pet ... WOOF PHOTOS, for pets and their people |
